Media accreditation for UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is now open

Media representatives are invited to for accreditation to the UN Climate Change Conference COP28, which will be held from 30 November to 12 December 2023 at Expo City Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will feature both in-person and virtual elements. However, only journalists attending the press conferences in person will be able to pose questions. Those who have registered for the conference but are unable to come to the venue will be able to follow the negotiations via the digital platform in accordance with their badges. Media representatives participating remotely may wish to register as virtual-only participants and use the digital platform to connect and schedule virtual meetings with other COP28 participants.

Remote participants not registered will be able to watch broadcasts of plenaries and open events on the UN Climate Change website. More information will be posted at as it becomes available.

The UN Climate Change secretariat has introduced changes to its conference registration process to increase transparency.

Online registration is the only official channel for media representatives to apply for accreditation to this conference. The secretariat is not in a position to receive applications sent by any other method, e.g. e-mail, fax or letter. Requests for technical support can be sent to
