EU-UN Media Round Table “The Future of Climate Policy”

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Regional Office of the European Commission and the United Nations Climate Secretariat in Bonn would like to invite you to a joint

Media round table on “The Future of Climate Policy”

Can the UN climate change agreement be successfully implemented? What does the future hold after the US elections and after Marrakech? Will everyone come on board and has financing been secured? Is the EU fulfilling its pioneering role in international climate policy?

During the evening, Nick Nuttall, spokesperson for the UN Climate Secretariat, and Anna-Kaisa Itkonen, spokesperson for Climate Policy and Energy of the European Commission in Brussels, will be available for a background discussion on the full scope of international climate policy and the COP23-negotiations scheduled for November 6-17, 2017 in Bonn.

Please note that the event will be conducted in English and that interpretation will not be available.

You are welcome to pass this invitation on to other journalists interested in European issues. Beverages will be provided. The event is addressed to media representatives exclusively.
