UN Bonn Merchandise Collection now Available in Bonn Shop

The United Nations in Bonn and the City of Bonn have established a new cooperation and included UN Bonn merchandise in the Bonn Shop to broaden the visibility of the UN presence in Bonn.

Along with the classical assortment of the Bonn Tourist Information, UN Bonn merchandise are now offered in three langauges including German, Englisch, and “Bönnsch”.

UN Bonn Will Join Earth Hour on 26 March 2022

UN Bonn with its 25 entities will join Earth Hour on Saturday 26 March 2022. It will turn off its lights from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm local time. Join UN Bonn and speak up about why nature matters!

First launched in 2007 in Australia, Earth Hour has been commemorated every year since, mobilizing hundreds of millions of individuals and cities to participate and growing to become one of the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment and climate action.

UN Day on 24th October

United Nations Day, on 24 October, marks the anniversary of the day in 1945 when the UN Charter entered into force. UN Day, celebrated every year, offers the opportunity to amplify our common agenda and reaffirm the purposes and principles of the UN Charter that have guided us for the past 76 years.

Bonn UN Talks on ‘United Nations Day’

The ceremonial raising of the United Nations flag in front of Haus Carstanjen on 20 June 1996 laid the foundation for Bonn's development into Germany's United Nations City. Today, the City of Bonn has 25 UN agencies and representations with about 1,000 staff. The UN Campus around the "Langer Eugen" high-rise building, which formerly accommodated the Members of Parliament, now forms the heart of the international location.
