25th Anniversary of World Day to Combat Desertification
This year, on 17 June 2019, UNCCD will celebrate its 25th anniversary of the World Day to Combat Desertification, and will use the event as an opportunity to renew its collective commitment to restore the productivity of over 2 billion hectares of degraded land and improve the livelihood of more than 1.3 billion people around the world.
Under the slogan – « Let's grow the future together,” UNCCD will celebrate the 25 years of progress made by countries and people in sustainable land management. The Un organization is inviting people around the world to share their plans for celebrating the World Day to Combat Desertification 2019.
