Youth4Health - Youth participation in Tirana

From October 25 to 27, the Albanian capital Tirana hosted 500 young people coming from 30 countries for the Youth4Health Forum of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Europe. The forum was held for the first time in this form and was organized in cooperation with the Albanian Ministries of Health and Social Affairs, and Youth and Children. Tirana, as the European Youth Capital 2022, was an ideal venue for the youth event.

The WHO Europe and Central Asia Region includes a total of 53 countries. One-third of their populations are younger than 30 years. The 500 delegates of Youth4Health were able to discuss topics such as health and the future with 200 other representatives of the UN and social institutions. These are issues that affect all youth and young adults worldwide. To further raise awareness, Youth4Health will send delegates at the WHO Europe Regional Committee meeting in Almaty, Kazakhstan 2023. There they will demand to integrate calls for greater inclusion of young people's needs, both at the regional and national policy levels.
