New Podcast Episode: UN SDG Action Awards – How a Nigerian youth-led initiative is fighting for gender equality
A new podcast episode of 'Inside UN Bonn' was released yesterday. In light of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the two podcast hosts Leonie Beck and Monja Sauvagerd talked to Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi, a Nigerian women's rights activist and Executive Director of the Stand to End Rape (STER) Initiative.
STER is a Nigerian and youth-led social enterprise advocating against sexual violence, providing prevention mechanisms, and supporting survivors with psychosocial services. In March 2021, the initiative won the SDG Awards which are awarded every year at the UN SDG Action Festival.
