Lecture Series at Bonn University: Delivering on the 2030 Agenda

The Department "European and International Networks" of the International Office, University of Bonn and the UN System Staff College (UNSSC) Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development invite to the lecture series on "Delivering on the 2030 Agenda: Shifting Paradigms and Practice".

The upcoming events will take place on June 7, June 14, June 28 and July 5, 2018 at 6 pm in the Main Building (Lecture Hall I), University of Bonn. Except for June 7: Lecture Hall X.

•   June 7:
“From Funding to Financing: The Growing Influence of South-South and Triangular Cooperation”

•   June 14:
“Data and Development: How Big Data can Support Sustainable Development”
Lecture by Ugo Caruso, United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC)

•   June 28:
“Human Rights and Sustainable Development: Strengthening the Normative Discourse for Sustainable Development”
Lecture by Patrick van Weerelt, United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC)

•   July 5:
“Delivering on Sustainable Development Goals: The Role of the UN System in the Wake of Global Challenges – New Directions through UN Reform”
Lecture by Patrick van Weerelt, United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC)

This joint lecture series aims at increasing the visibility of the topic “sustainable development” at the University of Bonn among stakeholders with diverse backgrounds. It offers a platform for students of all fields of study, young experts in the area of international cooperation and sustainable development and other interested parties to engage in joint learning and discussion on crucial topics of sustainable development. In this way, best practice concepts can be carried into studies, research and work practice.
