May 15th 2018: Panel Discussion on sustainable development in Bonn
From 14 to 18 May, the UN System Staff College will be organizing a leadership course for senior UN officials, on the occasion many renowned international representatives are welcomed in Bonn. Taking advantage of the presence of these experts in Bonn, UNSSC and the City of Bonn have organized an open panel discussion titled “Bringing the 2030 Agenda to Life: Brokering Consensus for Sustainable Development at the Global, National, and City Level”.
The event will take place on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 6:30 PM in the Old Town Hall of the City of Bonn, Markt 2.
The panel will feature Mr. David Donoghue, the former Ambassador of Ireland to the Federal Republic of Germany and one of the key negotiators of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Also speaking will be Ms. Malini Mehra, the CEO of GLOBE International, and a member of the London Sustainable Development Commission. Moreover, Ms. Monika Zimmermann, ICLEI, will add a civil-society perspective to the discussion.
