The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is a dedicated training arm of the United Nations. The Institute provides creative learning solutions to transfer knowledge, and develop the skills needed to solve the challenges of our complex world.

Over the years, UNITAR has acquired unique expertise in designing and delivering a variety of capacity development activities to institutions and individuals, with increasing focus on research and delivering more analytical work, linked to high-quality products and services. With a strategy fully aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, UNITAR supports Governments in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Presently two Divisons, namely the Divisions for Planet and Peace, are also operating from the UNITAR Bonn Office. The overall vision of the UNITAR Bonn Office is to become UNITAR’s research hub.
