Push Documentary

UN Cinema presents "Push"

The next UN Cinema event will take place on 18th March. UNRIC will screen the documentary "PUSH" by Fredrik Gertten.

The documentary PUSH explores the question why rental prices are increasing in cities around the world. Even though housing is a human right and a must for a secure life, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find affordable housing in cities.

The film follows Leilani Farha, UN special rapporteur on adequate housing, as she travels the world with the mission of figuring out who is pushed out of cities and why.

Following the screening there will be a panel discussion with Felix von Grünberg, Chairman of the German tenants’ association Bonn/Rhein-Sieg/Ahr, about the situation in Germany.

What is UN Cinema?

UN Cinema is an initiative of the United Nations Regional Information Centre for Western Europe (UNRIC), which was launched in 2007 and has since become one of its most successful projects. During UN Cinema events, we screen documentaries on important global issues and thereby raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
