UN Bonn Entities Will Join Open House at Villa Hammerschmidt

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier invites visitors to explore Villa Hammerschmidt, his official residence, in Bonn on Saturday, 18 June 2022, from 12 to 7 p.m.

The Office of the Federal President, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal City of Bonn will offer an extensive program of talks, music and hands-on activities at the Open Day in the park of Villa Hammerschmidt and in the adjacent park of Palais Schaumburg. Guests can learn about the work of the Federal President, and several federal authorities as well as German and international organizations will also present their work. Several UN Bonn entities will participate, including UNV, UNFCCC, UNCCD, WHO, UNDP and the SDG Action Campaign. Federal President Steinmeier will welcome guests from the main stage in the afternoon.

Unlike in previous years, visitors need a ticket and an official photo ID for admission. The free tickets are available online at www.tdot-bonn.de. Due to high demand, tickets for the tour of Villa Hammerschmidt, the Chancellor's Bungalow and the historic rooms at the BMZ are unfortunately already fully booked. Possible remaining tickets will be available from Thursday, 16 June 2022. Tickets for the program in the parks are still available.
