COP 23: First Summit of Cities and Regions - Fighting together for climate change
During the climate convention (COP23), the first summit of cities and regions took place on Sunday. More than 1000 participants from over 80 nations came together to talk about the growing meaning of communities and regions in the fight against climate change and the adaptation to it.
„This is a demonstration of unity, both on the local and the regional level“, said Ashok Sridharan, Lord Mayer of Bonn during a press conference with Andreas Pinkwart, minister of economy, innovation, digitalization and energy of Northrhine-Westphalia, as well as other representatives of the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives, ICLEI, and participating ministries of Germany.

After the first week of COP23, numerous delegates from all over the world congratulate Bonn as a successful host.
